We had this water heater (Amtrol Hydromax HM-80) installed as part of a remodel in Dec 2013. Over the weekend (end of June 2016) it started a fountain out of the top and was getting everything around it soaked. Called service Monday morning, they said, yup, seen this before. Needs full replacement which is covered by the 7 year warranty however, their labor at $700 is NOT covered. I'm pissed. Also questioning what better brand we should buy. The sales rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was impressed with how well the furnace was wrapped and secured to the pallet. Installation was fairly simple by my installer. He said that he had installed more Goodman furnaces than any other brand and that it was easy to get parts. Furnace fired up and worked properly. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is that it was about 90 degrees the day it was installed. We didn't want to heat up the house too much. We'll have to wait... more

I just wish it was more simple to figure out which connectors were needed. The description should be simpler. All I wanted was 1/2" copper connections but somehow the unit showed up with PEX connections. Overall good radiator though.

Indoor Unit: Very easy installation. This little 9k unit cools a 10 by 10 room and can easily lower the temp down into the low sixties. It is so quiet and you can hear yourself breathe while it's on.
